Frank Thompson, an art teacher at Roosevelt Intermediate School in New Jersey, is facing charges after he overdosed on fentanyl in front of a classroom of students. Obviously, taking drugs in school as a teacher is a serious offense, and needs to be dealt with sternly. He should be immediately fired and held to the full account of the law. But in order to overdose at school as a teacher, Thompson most likely is a serious drug addict, and probably a heroin addict. Heroin is one of the most addictive drugs there is, and fentanyl is a synthetic and much more potent version of heroin. Addiction, we are told by the medical profession, is a disease, so the authorities are charging this man for how his disease manifested itself in real life.
We can have a serious debate as to whether this man needs to go to jail, or needs to go into an intense drug rehabilitation, but the people who should be facing criminal charges for this situation and for the hundreds of thousands of other drug overdoses in our country every year, are President Joe Biden and Secretary of Homeland Security, Alexandro Mayorkas. Those are the people who have opened our southern border, and have allowed a record amount of drugs, especially fentanyl, to pour into our country and communities for the last two years.
Biden and Mayorkas have chosen not to enforce our immigration laws and strengthen our border security which has allowed the Mexican drug cartels to take control of our southern border and smuggle drugs into our country at record pace. It’s not that Biden and Mayorkas tried and failed to secure our border and stop the flow of drugs, they failed to even try. So, it is only right to lay the death of every American who has died of an overdose at their feet. If they are not doing everything in their power to stop that poison from coming into this country, they are complicit in all these deaths. They should be tried and convicted for assessor to murder for every drug overdose death in our country. If you give a drug addict the drugs he uses to overdose, it is no different than giving a suicidal person a loaded gun that he uses to kill himself.
When Joe Biden went to visit the border this past weekend in El Paso, Texas, authorities came in and removed all of the illegal immigrant encampments that have been lining the streets of El Paso for the last year and a half. He went down to the border to see for himself what going on, to assess the gravity of the situation, so he could take the appropriate action to deal with the crisis, and then they lied to him. They painted a false picture of the devastation that his policies are causing. That would be like getting an MRI to find out what’s wrong with you and the technician shows the doctor MRI pictures from a healthy patient. He didn’t see for himself what was going on because that would force him to change his policies.
But these people always present false pictures. The first picture that President Biden tweeted of his first-ever trip to our southern border was of him standing in front of Donald Trump’s border wall, the wall that he shut down, the wall that he prevented from being completed. It’s all a lie like everything they say and do. Mayorkas has claimed many times that "the border is closed" when it is clearly open. And Biden wanted to present to the American people the image that he is for border security because that is what the American people want, when in fact his actions reveal that he is clearly against border security. During the trip, Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador even thanked President Biden for halting the construction of the wall along our southern border.
Donald Trump has stated clearly that if he is reelected President, he is going to treat the drug cartels as if they are ISIS, and rightfully so. The drug cartels have killed 100 times more American citizens then ISIS has ever even thought about killing, and Joe Biden and Secretary Mayorkas have done absolutely nothing to prevent it. Drugs brought into the United States through Mexico kill ten times more people than Russians have killed Ukrainian citizens, but we are spending $100 billion protecting Ukrainian citizens from Russia’s invasion as 275 Americans die every day from the Mexican invasion into our country.
If the same drug cartels were smuggling anthrax into our country which was killing 275 people every day, we would shut that down in about 48 hours. Until we treat the drug cartels like the enemy that they are, we will continue to have hundreds of thousands of Americans dying unnecessarily. We must treat the cartels like we treat ISIS, and if that means bombing the hell out of them, bombing them into nothing, then that is what we have to do.
So, we can arrest a middle school teacher for overdosing in school. We can convict him and throw him in jail, but that will do absolutely nothing to prevent the drugs from pouring into this country, and it will do nothing to prevent another middle school teacher, or anybody else in this country from overdosing on fentanyl. We are kidding ourselves. Until the real culprits, Joe Biden and Secretary Mayorkas are held accountable for the end results of their horrific policies and poor leadership, nothing will improve, and more and more and more people will continue to die.
