Culture of Dependency

When we understand how the Democrats operate, it becomes much easier to see why they do what they are doing. The Democrats are only about power and control, and the most effective way to control people is to make them dependent on you. The Democrats’ strategy is to make as many people in our country as dependent on the government [them] as possible because they know when people rely on government, they are much more likely to vote for Democrats and their socialist policies, whereas, if people are independent and self-sufficient, they will be more likely to vote for Republicans and their free-market ideas.

The Democrats are like drug dealers. Drug dealers’ business models is to create addiction, so they give away free drugs to people until they become addicted, and then the drug dealer has them, owns them, controls them, dictates to them. The Democrats continually give away free stuff to the people until the dependency on the government kicks in, and then they have them, they own them, they control them, they can dictate to them. Addicts continually go back to their dealer, not because he makes their life better, but because he sustains the addiction that he created. Poor Democrat voters continually vote for Democrats not because the Democrats make their life better, but because they sustain the voters’ life-crushing dependency on government.

The most obvious examples are the inner cities of America which are run predominantly by Democrats. The Democrat politicians have completely failed their constituents in these cities; they have implemented policies that have made their citizen’s lives poorer and more dangerous which in turn has made them more dependent on government services. Yet the people living in the inner cities vote overwhelmingly for the Democrats whose very policies have wrecked their lives. Why? Because they are trapped in a cycle of dependency. The poverty that the Democrats created in their communities have forced the people to become dependent on the government, and Democrat politicians swoop in to give them what they need simply to survive the devastating effects of the Democrats’ policies.

Lori Lightfoot in Chicago is the perfect example. Her policies have absolutely destroyed that city, and yet she will most likely win reelection. Look at New York City over the last 50 years. In the 1970s and 80s, Ed Koch and David Dinkins ran that city into the ground; it was the murder capital of the United States. It was a dirty, disgusting and dangerous city to visit much less live in. Republican Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, in the 1990s, cleaned up New York City, revitalized it, solved its crime problem, and yet after he left office, the people of New York City voted for three consecutive Democrat mayors, Michael Bloomberg, Bill De Blasio, and now Eric Adams - all offered the people free stuff, not a better life. And with each new Democrat, the city gets progressively worse and worse, yet the people continue to vote Democrats into office because they have become dependent on the government handouts that the Democrats policies have made necessary.

Poor people’s upward mobility to the middle class is death to the Democrat party. That is why the Democrats are trying to destroy the middle class. Self-sufficient, independent people are no use to them. The Democrats need a permanent underclass to get them elected. Over the last year and a half, Joe Biden and the Democrats have flooded our country with millions of illegal immigrants from Central and South America, and many other impoverished nations. By and large, these people are poor, uneducated, unskilled, and speak very little English which means those who do not end up working hard manual labor for very low wages for the Democrat donor class, will end up on our social services rolls, dependent on our government for their survival. And if the Democrats are able to give these people amnesty and enfranchise them with the vote, the vast majority will vote for the Democrats socialist policies that they are directly benefitting from.

So now, the Democrats constituency consists mainly of the poor and the wealthy elites, both of whom are dependent on the government, but in different ways. Their biggest donors are big tech billionaires, media moguls, Hollywood, big corporations, colleges and universities, big banks, and Wall Street – most of whom benefit directly from big government subsidies, corporate welfare, or cronyism. Many of these wealthy elites are just as dependent on the government for their survival as the poor family on welfare and food stamps.

The Democrats need a culture of dependency, so they will have control over the people, and that’s why the current administration is doing nothing to stop the opioid and fentanyl crisis. Why would the explosion of addiction and death from drugs not be a top priority to the Democrats? Because they rely on dependency, whether it’s government dependency or drug dependency. It’s easier to control people if they are dependent on something. Democrat-run cities are passing out free needles and drug paraphernalia to drug addicts which creates more dependency on the government. The government becomes the enabler of their drug addiction by providing them the necessary tools for them to continue their drug use. The drug user then becomes dependent on the government to continue to feed their addiction. Democrats do not want to stop the drug crisis in America because it benefits them too much.

This dependency approach permeates all of their policies. Look at what they have done with inflation. The Democrats continually overspend and overspend, especially on social programs which drives up our national debt to unsustainable levels, which creates out-of-control inflation which makes people poorer and poorer, which then makes more people more dependent on government services and social programs which are the main drivers of the out-of-control spending, which again makes people poorer and more dependent, and more likely to vote Democrat. This is all part of their plan; it’s part of all their plans.

Social Security, for example, was designed to create the ultimate government dependency, ironically with the people’s own money. Every two weeks for over 40 years of our working lives, the government seizes a percentage of our paychecks, and our employers match that amount, very similar to a 401k plan, except that the money is not put into a separate account in our name that we control; the money is put into the general pool of funds that the government controls. At retirement, we don’t control our Social Security money, the government does. They control the money that we worked over 40 years earning, and we are dependent on the government for access to the fruits of our own labor. And every 4 years, Democrats use Social Security as a campaign issue to get people who depend on Social Security to vote for them meanwhile, Social Security is robbing these same people blind.

If the Social Security funds that we worked our lives for were put in a private account in our name that we controlled, the average worker would walk into retirement with a nest-egg twice what they will ever receive in total Social Security payments. We would be independent from the government. We would be self-sufficient. But the Democrats do not want that because they rely on our hard-earned money and our government dependence too much.

Joe Biden and the Democrats destroying our fossil fuel industry because they do not want the American people to be independent. Inexpensive gasoline is freedom. It is freedom for the average citizen. You can fill up your tank and drive anywhere you want to go in the Continental United States. But when everyone is driving electric cars and the government controls the power grid, through a punitive tax system, they can tell you when and how much you can drive. They control you. They control your freedom. Energy is freedom. And freedom is antithetical to the Democrat party philosophy of government dependence.

The Democrats have a very cynical approach to governing. Their strategy to earn votes is to make the voters lives worse and not better, poorer not richer, less self-sufficient and more dependent, less free and more controlled. The problem is the people in the throes of addiction rarely ever see the creator and enabler of their addiction as the problem. They get caught in the cycle of dependency, as many Democrat voters have, and many Americans already are.
