During the height of the Cold War, when the average Russian citizen was on the verge of starvation, forced to stand in lines for hours in freezing temperatures for the basic necessities, whenever a famous person from the west – Earnest Hemingway, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, and so on – came to visit the Soviet Union, they never saw the bread lines or the toilet paper lines or the people starving, they only saw a country that was flourishing. Prior to their visit, the people were fed and cleaned, and propped up to appear to be living happy and productive lives in the Soviet Union. So, these Westerners would return to America or Europe, gushing about how wonderful communism is, when in reality, the Russian people were miserable and the country was on the verge of collapse.
This week, Chinese communist dictator see Xi Jinping visited San Francisco – a city that had become one of America’s eyesores, where crime is rampant, homelessness is on every street corner, open air drug use, and human feces strewn on every sidewalk. For years, critics have been pleading with the mayor of San Francisco, London Breed and the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, to clean up this once beautiful city. Just step in and clean it up – arrest the criminals, take the homeless people off the streets, put the drug addicts in rehab, pick up the garbage and remove the human waste, turn San Francisco back into the gem it once was. It is not very complicated. They just need a will to do it.
But for years, the governor and mayor refused to do anything about these problems plaguing this once beautiful city. And then, when Chinese Communist Party leader, Xi Jinping, decided to visit San Francisco, these same politicians suddenly became motivated to do what they should have done five years ago, clean up the city. They did for a murderous communist dictator at the drop of a hat what they refused to do for their 800,000 citizens for years. Communist countries used to have to clean up their streets to put on a show for visiting Westerners. Now Western cities have to clean up their streets to put on a show for communist dictators.
But the most disturbing image of Xi Jinping’s visit was American citizens lining the streets of San Francisco waving Chinese flags, welcoming this communist dictator. Even American soldiers were forced to hold the Chinese flag. There has been very much controversy in our country about flags in recent years. We’re supposed to disrespect the American flag during our national anthem, because according to the social justice warriors on the left, the American flag is evil. The United States flag represents America’s history of slavery and segregation and colonialism. According to them, the American flag should be disrespected; it should be destroyed; it should be burned because of that history.
But the Chinese flag should be honored and respected. For some reason, the social justice warriors in our country did not protest the Chinese flag. There was no disrespecting or burning the flag of a country that is currently committing a genocide against the Uyghurs in Xinjiang, China. The CCP is running a concentration camp, murdering tens of thousands of Muslims every year. The same people who disrespect our flag because of slavery that ended 160 years ago, refused to protest the flag of a country that is currently running a concentration camp, enslaving and killing Muslims.
On Wednesday, while Xi Jinping was still in San Francisco, Pro-Palestinian protesters violently clashed with police outside the DNC offices in Washington, DC and at the Capitol, demanding a cease-fire in Gaza because they supposedly care about the Palestinian Muslims who are being killed in the war that Hamas started with Israel. But nobody cares about the Uyghur Muslims in Chinese who are enslaved and being systematically murdered by the Chinese government. Nobody does. Nobody disrespects China’s flag; nobody protest their flag.
The Uyghurs in China are being treated a thousand times worse than any Palestinian living in Gaza. Not even close. It’s not even debatable. We know what’s happening in China, and we just welcomed the Chinese President, the man behind all these atrocities, with open arms. On his arrival, Gavin Newsom gave President Xi a Golden State Warriors jersey with his name on it. He received praise when he deserves protest. President Xi gave a speech to a standing ovation by some of the most powerful people in our country. That would be like giving Adolph Hitler a standing ovation even though we knew about his concentration camps. President Xi is the closest thing to Adolph Hitler there is in the world today and we are praising him.
After Joe Biden went off script and called President Xi a “dictator”, senior officials in the Biden administration had to go to the press and walk back his rhetoric because we are not allowed to say anything negative about China. On Tuesday on NPR, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated that she and President Joe Biden “think greater income and growth in China is good for the globe and good for the United States as well.” That would be like in 1850 saying, ‘the growth of the southern plantation system is good for our economy’, or in 1940 saying, ‘the expansion of Germany will be good for America’s bottom line’.
This is how sinister President Xi is. Chinese run TikTok is spreading Osama bin Laden’s 2002 letter to America, justifying his terrorist attacks on America, trying to validate the mass murder of 3,000 of American citizens on September 11, 2001, and many young Americans have fallen for it. Young American leftists have been going viral on TikTok sympathizing with Osama bin Laden which is no different than what the pro-Palestinian protesters are doing in their moral equivalency campaign to justify Hamas’ murder of 1,400 Israeli civilians.
So, we are supposed to care about the Palestinian people in Gaza, who elected the brutal terrorist organization that attacked Israel, but we’re not supposed to care about the innocent Israeli citizens murdered by Hamas, or the innocent American citizens murdered on 9/11 by Osama bin Laden, or the innocent Uyghur Muslims in China systematically slaughtered at the behest of President Xi because all those murders are somehow justified. Meanwhile, we just rolled out the red carpet and heaped praise on a man who the eye of history will place in the same category as Hitler and Stalin and Mussolini and Castro and Pol Pot. And we wonder why our country is falling apart at the seams.
