Mutually Assured Destruction

Yesterday, in Damascus, Syria, an Islamic suicide bomber detonated an explosive vest and blew himself up at St. Elias Greek Orthodox Church, killing 20 Christians and wounding 52 others. This act of extreme violence which was completely overshadowed in the media by Saturday’s bombing of Iran serves as proof that Trump’s decision to bomb three of Iran’s nuclear facilities was absolutely the right decision. That terrorist act in Damascus is the answer to anyone who questions why Iran cannot have nuclear weapons while countries such as, the United States, Russia, China, United Kingdom, France, India, Pakistan and North Korea, can. The suicide bombings that we have witnessed ad nauseam committed by Islamic extremists for the past 40 years proves that the Islamicists who have run Iran since 1979 should never get their hands on such a weapon.

The reason why there has not been a nuclear war since the invention of the atomic bomb 80 years ago is a concept of “mutually assured destruction”. The countries that have nuclear weapons understand that if they start a nuclear war, their country will be destroyed in the war that they started. They know that dropping nuclear bombs on other countries will only end with nuclear bombs being dropped on their own country. Not only are nuclear wars not winnable, they are not survivable on either side. Sane rational people understand this, and that prevents any nuclear country from striking first. It would be suicide for their country, for the world.

The irrational Islamicists who rule Iran do not understand nor live by that concept. They believe in suicide bombings. They believe that suicide bombings are effective tactics in their ongoing war against any country, and any people who are not aligned with Islam. They believe it is heroic to lay down their lives in the act of killing infidels. Iran would gladly give up its own existence if doing would eliminate Isreal, the United States and Europe. If they could start a nuclear war which would destroy the West, they would willing give up their lives and their own country’s existence. The Islamic extremists who rule Iran see nuclear weapons as the ultimate suicide bomb, and that is why Trump had to take out their nuclear facilities. If Iran ever got its hands on a nuclear weapon, it is inevitable that they would use it. They will never be deterred by anything, not even their own demise.

Critics warn that Trump’s actions could lead the United States into an endless war like in Iraq and Afghanistan, but we must realize that as long as the Muslim world exists as it currently is constituted, we will always be in a forever war whether we are actively engaged in that war or not because the Islamic extremists are in a perpetual war with the non-Islamic world. This is a forever war, only because our enemy – Islamicists – do not want peace. People talk about achieving peace in the Middle East all the time, but there will never be peace in the Middle East, because there are certain countries and certain factions within the Middle East, that do not want peace with us or with Israel, ever, under any circumstance. The only peace terms that they will accept is total annihilation of Israel, the United States and the West. That’s it.

They do not want to coexist because they want to destroy all the “infidels” in the world. The ruler of the country who leads the chants of “death to Israel” and “death to America” does not want to live in harmony with Israel and America. Coexist is a smoke screen behind which the Islamists attack their enemies. We have imported millions of Muslims into this country and the rest of the West, under the guise of tolerance and coexistence, bringing people who are the most intolerant in the world, who have no desire to live peacefully with any non-Muslim. These people are exploiting our tolerance to turn the United States into the most intolerant country in the world. The most persecuted group of people in the world are Christians living in Muslim controlled countries as we saw on Sunday in Damascus. How tolerant will America be when it becomes a Muslim majority country? That concept will not exist.

And that is where the modern left is so misguided. They endlessly accuse the people of the United States and the West of being intolerant, when we are the most tolerant people and countries in the world, and they never say a word about the countries in the Middle East who chop people’s heads off for being a different religion. The citizens of the United States and the West are the truly tolerant people who want to coexist with everyone, but the left sees it the exact opposite. They blame America and the West for all the problems in the world, and their Presidents who have allowed the left’s misguided beliefs to inform their foreign policy decisions are ultimately the reason why Trump had to do what he did on Saturday.

Obama foolishly gave Iran $1.7 billion in his failed nuclear deal, and Joe Biden recklessly unleashed billions of dollars of oil revenue to Iran in his failed nuclear deal. What did the Iranian leaders do with this injection of money and resources into their country? Did they spread the wealth among the Iranian citizens? Did they build schools and hospitals? Did they build infrastructure? No, no, and no. They funded terrorists to attack Israel, and they ramped up their nuclear weapons program. There would have been no October 7 if not for those deals by Obama and Biden. There would have been no need for Trump to bomb Iran’s nuclear sites if not for those deals. Those deals did the exact opposite of what Obama and Biden claimed they would do. They made the Middle East a more dangerous place and they brought Iran closer to getting nuclear weapons. Trump had to clean up Obama and Biden’s messes once again. The sad and scary part is that those deals were very likely not a mistake or a miscalculation by those Presidents. They were done intentionally. Under the delusional idea that no country is better than another, the left in our country wanted Iran to get nuclear weapons because they believe deep down there is no difference between the United States and Iran.

This is the flawed logic of the left in which we must tolerate everybody and make no judgments because we are all the same. They are wrong. We are allowed to judge other people; we are allowed to discriminate between good people and bad people. Not only are we allowed to do that, we have an obligation to do that. We have an obligation to say that the Mullah’s who are running Iran are bad and evil people who want to destroy anybody who is not like them. We are allowed to say that. We are allowed to make that judgment. We are not the same as they are, and it is okay to think that. We are better than a regime that funds Hamas to go into Israel, to rape and murder 1,400 innocent women, children and elderly. We are allowed to say we are better than they are. We are allowed to say that people who fund terrorism should never get their hands on the most powerful, destructive and lethal weapon that has ever been created. We can make that judgment. But the left construes our judgement of good and bad, right and wrong as an act of intolerance.  The sad part is the left reserves the right to judge others only when they are judging America and the West. We saw this in 2009 when Obama went to the Middle East and apologized to terrorist nations for America giving them a reason to commit terrorist acts against us. Once again, the violence in the Middle East, according to the left, is all our fault, not the terrorists’ fault.

One of the biggest mistakes that the people in the West make in these types of situations is that we superimpose our values, our morality and our vision for the world on non-Western countries and non-Western people. We believe that they think like us, that they have the same goals and vision for the world as we do. They don’t, not even close. We must stop doing this. We tried to impose Western values, Western morality, Western politics onto Iraq and Afghanistan, and they were outright rejected. Our beliefs, our morality, our political systems are incompatible with their culture, with their religion, with their beliefs. We can never coexist with them because they want the exact opposite of what we want. We want coexistence; they want a worldwide caliphate. And the more people from these countries with those beliefs we allow to immigrate here, the bleaker the future of America becomes.
