Shane-less

The internet is ablaze because Shane Gillis on SNL this past Saturday told a joke about women dressing like “whores” at the gym. I probably would not have used the word “whore” but it is a fair assessment to say that women these days are dressing more and more provocatively, with more and more revealing clothing. Has anyone been to the beach lately? Gone are the days of the one-piece swimsuit that covers both cheeks. Many women are wearing thong bikinis that barely cover anything. Go anywhere, the mall, Starbucks, school pickup, women are wearing yoga pants that are so tight that you can see the outline of their private body parts.

There has been much pushback by women on the internet about Gillis’ joke. These women argue that men shouldn’t tell women what to wear; men shouldn’t shame women about their clothing; men shouldn’t judge women about their looks. They argue that women only wear those clothes at the gym for comfort and functionality.

Women are upset about Gillis’ comments because he’s on to you. He knows what you’re doing. And the women who are pushing back on him, don’t like the fact that they have been exposed. Women know exactly what they’re doing when they get dressed, especially when they get dressed like those women to whom he was referring. It is a power play over men. They dress as provocatively as they can, specifically so man will stare at them, so man will want them, and then they have power over those men because those men want something from those women that they are not going to give them. And that is a very powerful position to be in – to be wanted by somebody who you don’t really want. You have power over that person. That’s why they dress like that.

These women like to walk through the gym and have 10 men stare at them, knowing that she doesn’t want any of those 10 men. She has suddenly become more powerful than those men. I have something that you want, but you cannot have. That’s the game that they are playing, and then, they turn around and complain about the male gaze. And again, that complaint is all part of the power-play. I have something that you want, but will never get and by the way you can’t even look at because if you even look at it, we’re going to label you a ‘creep’ or a ‘jerk’ or a ‘misogynist’, but I am going to shove it in your face, anyway. That’s the game that’s being played. And women are apoplectic because Shane Gillis called them out. He exposed their game. If dressing like that were functional for sports, then men would wear thongs in their competitions because men in sports are looking for every possible advantage.

And the women in the gym who were dressing with next to nothing on who are filming themselves to post on social media, are not posting that on social media because they think people are going to look at it because of the athletic feats they are performing. Nobody cares that you can do 10 pull-ups, nobody cares that you can bench press 135 pounds, nobody cares that you can squat 185. That’s not why people watch you on Instagram. They watch you on Instagram because you’re dressed as scantily as you possibly can. That’s why you post it, that’s why people watch it, that’s why people like it, and that’s why people follow you, specifically because of the way you’re dressed. Nobody cares about how many 4-count Burpees you can do, but there’s a certain segment of the population who likes watching you do 4-count Burpee’s when you’re wearing next to nothing. That’s your target audience. That’s why you do it and that’s why you film it and that’s why you post it. And Shane Gillis just said this all out loud with one joke, and none of these women like it because nobody likes being exposed.

It is true that men shouldn’t shame women into dressing anyway or dressing the way they want them to dress. That’s absolutely correct. Men should not judge the way women dress. Can we do that with women too? How many women have stood in front of a closet filled with clothes that looks absolutely stunning on them but say that they have nothing to wear because there will be women at the event they’re going to who have already seen them in those clothes. And they don’t wear the dress that looks beautiful on them because they don’t want to be judged by those women. So, they have to go to the mall and spend three hundred dollars on a new dress even though they have a dozen beautiful dresses in their closet, and these women complain about the patriarchy because men don’t have to spend as much money on clothes as women do. It’s all the man’s fault.

The women who are so upset about Shane Gillis’ comments, are the same women who called Sydney Sweeney all sorts of derogatory names because she dressed half-naked in her sports betting app commercial. These are the same women who glorified an entertainer like Cardi B, whose signature song of female empowerment is “WAP” – short for “Wet Ass P***y”. That’s who we were told is someone who represents women these days. But these are the same women who are defending the behavior of the woman at Cornell, who intentionally got intoxicated, snorted ketamine off a man’s private parts, and willfully agreed to have sex with two men. These are the same women who defended Lindsey Clancy when she murdered her three children in cold blood. These are the same women who cheered the signing of legislation that allows women to kill their babies up to the 40th week of pregnancy. All this means is that these women have no credibility.

These are the same women who are part of the political party that is aligning with people like Zoran Mamdami, and Abdul El-Sayed, politicians who are not only communist, but are Islamists. When Islam takes over this country, there won’t be a Shane Gillis commenting on what women wear at the gym because women aren’t going to be allowed to wear whatever they want to the gym; they’re not even going to be allowed to go to the gym; they will be forced to wear Burqas, and stay at home – no driving, no education, no job. And if you’re not a Muslim woman, the Muslims will be able to rape you at will because that’s what’s happening to non-Muslim women in Muslim majority countries around the world. But the women who are lashing out at Shane Gillis’ jokes will joyfully vote for Islamists to take power in this country. Maybe their thongs are so skimpy and tight that they are cutting off the blood supply to their brains.

Liberal white women are so hellbent on being seen as a victim in our society that they do not even realize how good they have it. The beauty of America is that women can do and say and dress however they want, just as men can do. Women can dress like sex-workers at the gym. That’s your right, but don’t get mad if someone who is exercising their right of freedom of speech, points out that you are dressed like a sex-worker. Getting to do and say and dress however you want does not mean that everyone will celebrate everything that you do or say or how you dress. No one has a right to demand that. People may judge what you do or say or how you dress. They even may comment on it. And you have to accept that is all part of living in a free society. That’s called being an adult.
