In a recent interview, former First Lady Michelle Obama said, “I am terrified about what could possibly happen” in the 2024 Presidential election. She was referring to the potential re-election of Donald Trump. She said, “we cannot take this democracy for granted. And sometimes, I worry that we do.” Like Michelle, I am also terrified, but about what is already happening in the 2024 Presidential election. The democrats are trying to convict and imprison their number one political opponent, Donald Trump, and they are trying to remove him from the ballot so millions of his supporters will not be able to vote for him. The ramifications of that is indeed terrifying and the true threat to our democratic process in 2024. Our country did not use to be like this.
It all started to change in 2008, when her husband, Barack Obama stood before a crowd of thousands of people during his campaign, and promised to “fundamentally change” America. He told us what he wanted to do – to radically transform our country. Obama never really told us exactly what he planned on transforming America into, so it was always a puzzling statement to both make and applaud. Transformations can be unbelievable; they can also be disastrous.
Most people who were cheering for a fundamental transformation of America assumed that Obama meant transforming America into a country that worked for the little guy, the middle and lower classes. That America would no longer be as top down as it had become. The little guy would have more of a chance to succeed and improve his life, and the wealthy would have less control over what was going on.
Since 2009 when Obama took office, our national debt has more than tripled – it has gone from $10 trillion to $34 trillion. The national debt Obama inherited took 43 Presidents and 220 years to accumulate, the next three presidents have tripled that amount in 15 years. Was this the fundamental transformation that Obama spoke of? Did the people who were cheering those words, believe that the government would strap them and their children with three times as much debt as they were already shouldering? Did they believe that transformation meant destruction of the middle class? When Obama took office in 2009, the United States had 354 billionaires; today, the United States has 751 billionaires. As the United States tripled its national debt, the number of billionaires in this country has more than doubled. So now we know where most of that money went.
The people who voted for Obama’s “fundamental change” believed that our differences based on race or socioeconomics or even political ideology, would cease to divide us. But in the 15 years since Obama took office, race relations have become increasingly worse, the socio-economic divide is greater than ever, and political ideology is not only turning citizen against citizen, but family member against family member.
Did anybody believe that Obama’s fundamental transformation of America would look anything like what we are witnessing? The government arresting and indicting political opponents; the government actively censoring political speech on the internet; the government having so much control over our lives that they can tell us that we can’t go to work or our kids can’t go to school, or we have to take medicine that we don’t want or else lose our civil rights; public schools teaching radical gender ideology and critical race theory; pornography in elementary school libraries; 7 million illegal immigrants walking into our country in three years; non-citizens voting in unsecure elections; mass homelessness taking over our major cities; over one hundred thousand citizens dying from drug overdoses every year.
This is how much our country has transformed since Obama promised to “fundamentally transform” it, and for 11 of the last 15 years since he made that statement, Obama has been the one pulling the strings. By every metric, America is much worse off, from the time when Obama took office. Every country that Marxism touches becomes exponentially worse, never better, never, and Obama is a Marxist in disguise.
The destruction of our country that was ushered in by Barack Obama and continues through Joe Biden – who Obama, heavily influences, if not completely controls – is unprecedented and is absolutely intentional. These are not mistakes made by people who are honestly trying to do what is best for America; these are purposeful decisions intended to destroy America. So, like Michelle Obama, I, too, am terrified about the 2024 elections because when the dust settles, if her husband is anywhere near power in this country which the reelection of Joe Biden would most likely do, the complete demise of America is almost a certainty, because that is Barack Obama’s endgame.
Obama wants to destroy America because he and many on the left, believe that America was founded fraudulently on the basis of racism. He believes that slavery is our original sin, which it may very well be, but in Christianity, we believe in redemption for our sins. We believe that sinners can be redeemed. That is what Jesus came down to earth for, redemption of all of us sinners. The devil works the exact opposite way. The devil works exactly like how Barack Obama and his fellow leftists operate. The devil gets in your ear and reminds you continuously of all the sins that you’ve committed, and how bad you are, and how sinful you are, and how you’re not worthy of redemption so you should just destroy yourself. Barack Obama and the left continually tells us how bad America is, how sinful we were, how unworthy we are.
Obama does not believe in redemption for America. Obama and the left believe in ultimate retribution which is the destruction of America. That is why the left has opened our borders, has run up unsustainable debt, are promoting crime and lawlessness, are destroying basic concepts of right and wrong, male and female, and objective reality. They have been tearing down the structures of our society in order to destroy the foundation of our country.
Christ believes in the redemption of every one of our souls. Donald Trump believes in the redemption of the United States of America. That is what ‘Make America Great Again’ means. Christ sees the greatness in each one of us that is being strangled by sin and wants us to realize our greatness. Trump sees the greatness in America that is being strangled by people like Obama, who keep reminding us of our past sins, who keep dragging us back to a past that we should have shedded long ago.
In Obama’s mind, there is no forgiveness, there is no understanding, there is no compassion, there is no redemption for America, all there is is vengeance and retribution for our past sins, even sins that we, individually, didn’t commit. He believes that there is no way to rid ourselves of that original sin, other than complete destruction. It is such an empty and miserable way to approach life. So, Michelle, that is what terrifies me, your husband’s ultimate plan for America is truly terrifying.
