By now the hypocrisy is very clear; Donald Trump was banned on social media for misinformation; Roseanne Barr was fired from her TV show because of an inappropriate tweet; Gina Carano was fired from Disney because she posted conservative opinions on her social media; conservative voices were suppressed on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram at the behest of the Biden administration, and all those people who were crying fascism because Jimmy Kimmel was suspended for a week because of the lies he told on his show about the death of Charlie Kirk, applauded when all these other people had their freedom of speech stripped from them. Jimmy Kimmel, himself, publicly approved of and justified the firings of Tucker Carlson and Roseanne Barr, but claimed that his firing created some sort of Constitutional crisis. Any self-aware person would be able to identify this level hypocrisy within themselves. But the people on the left do not care that they are hypocrites, because they do not care about upholding any principles or ideals.
The left does not care about protecting free speech or our Constitution; they only see free speech and our Constitution as tools used to accumulate more and more power. If standing up for free speech helps them gain more power, they will be screaming the loudest for free speech. But if suppressing free speech will get them more power, they will violate our Constitution in a heartbeat. They never stand on principle because they do not believe in principles. These people believe that truth and morality are subjective. To them, there is no universal truth. They do not believe as our Declaration of Independence clearly states that there are certain truths which are “self-evident”. They do not believe in the concept of universal truth because universal truth and constitutional principles are impediments to their quest for power. They are designed to limit the power of the politicians and that is why the left must destroy our Constitution by violating the very principles articulated within it. They know that when there is no universal truth, then the politicians reign supreme, that their subjective opinions become universal law. They only embrace principles in order to bastardize the principles so they can destroy them, i.e. hate speech laws and preferred pronouns. So even though the left was screaming about free speech when Kimmel was suspended, deep down they like when people on the right set precedents of violating Constitutional principles because that means they can do it too when it serves their purposes.
We saw this type of hypocrisy from the left on Tuesday during Jimmy Kimmel’s returned from his week-long suspension. In his opening monologue, he had the audacity to appropriate the words of Erika Kirk at her late husband’s memorial service this past Sunday. Kimmel said, "Erika Kirk forgave the man who shot her husband. She forgave him. That is an example we should follow. If you believe in the teachings of Jesus, as I do, there it was. That's it. A selfless act of grace, forgiveness from a grieving widow. It touched me deeply. It touches many and if there's anything we should take from this tragedy to carry forward, I hope it can be that and not this."
So let me get this straight, Jimmy Kimmel mocks the death of Charlie Kirk. He tells jokes about his assassination on his show. He tries to exploit his death by lying about who killed him in order to attack a politician that he despises, and then when he is suspended and could possibly lose his job because his reprehensible behavior, he goes back on the air and immediately exploits the unbelievable act of grace and forgiveness of the widow of the man whose death he was mocking last week – for the sole purpose of rehabilitating his image so he can keep his job. Make no mistake, Kimmel does not believe in the grace and the forgiveness that Erika Kirk displayed on Sunday.
Jimmy Kimmel was one of the loudest voices on the left who have been calling people on the right, and most specifically people in the MAGA movement, which Charlie Kirk was one of its leaders – fascists and Nazis. Those were the words that were written on the shell casings that were used to murder Charlie Kirk. The assassin was channeling people like Jimmy Kimmel as he was murdering Erika’s Kirk husband, and then Kimmel had the nerve to evoke the unbelievable example of grace and forgiveness of Erika Kirk in such a blatantly self-serving way. Erika Kirk said she forgave her husband’s murderer “because it was what Christ did, and it's what Charlie would do." So, to Kimmel was Charlie Kirk Christ-like or was he Hitler? Because that those are the messages that we have been receiving from leftists like Kimmel. And the bottom line is, to the left, he’s both. He’s Hitler when they want to destroy him, and he’s Christ-like when it serves their purposes. On Tuesday night, Kimmel needed him to be Christ-like so he could keep his job, even though he reviles everything that Charlie Kirk stood for.
Kimmel is unable to see the irony of pointing to Charlie Kirk’s widow as the way that we should all behave, after spending years of bashing him, and his movement, and the President he supported. Did it occur to Kimmel as he was exploiting the example set by Erika Kirk that maybe her husband, Charlie Kirk was not Hitler, that he wasn’t a Nazi, that he wasn’t a white supremacist, that he was not evil and hateful? Did it ever occur to him that maybe Charlie Kirk in every part of his life tried to emulate Jesus in the same way his wife tried to emulate Jesus at his memorial service? If Kimmel had an ounce of self-awareness, as he was praising Erika Kirk for what she did at the memorial service, he would have realized that maybe he has been wrong about the people on the right, maybe we are not the evil monsters that he and his ilk continually try to paint us as, maybe we are the ones who try to be Christ-like, maybe we are the patriots who only want for our country to be great. He only highlighted Erika’s Kirk grace and forgiveness because he was standing on a stage asking the world for grace and forgiveness for his sins. But would Jimmy Kimmel ever offer any level of grace or forgiveness to his enemies? Would he offer grace to Donald Trump? Of course not. That is not part of his DNA.
But do we ever hear anyone on the left offer forgiveness to anybody who has hurt them? Was there any forgiveness offered to Derek Chauvin or just vengeance? Was there any forgiveness offered to the January 6 rioters or just retribution? Is there any forgiveness offered to America for the sins in its history? People on the left still make land acknowledgments as if every white American is guilty of crimes that were committed 400 years ago. We are still talking about reparations for crimes that were committed two centuries ago by people who are dead against people who are dead.
It took less than two weeks for Erika Kirk to stand up and say, I forgive the person who murdered my husband, even though he has never offered an apology or showed a level of remorse, but people on the left are still bringing up slavery, they’re still bringing up segregation, they’re still bringing up Jim Crow. They are holding people accountable for sins that they did not commit simply because they share the same skin color of the dead people who did commit those sins. There’s no forgiveness from people on the left. They never show an ounce of grace to anyone. They are driven by victimhood and grievance while having a complete lack of forgiveness. That is the root of DEI; that is the root of intersectionality; that is the root of the charge of “white privilege”. It is all rooted in victimhood and grievance, with no room for grace, no offer of forgiveness.
The left is still holding on to the sins of the past, not because they are remorseful or want to be forgiven or want unity, they are still holding onto those sins for the same reason why they do everything else, to accumulate more and more power. They are using the past sins of America to destroy America and its founding principles, to remove all the impediments to their ultimate power grab. If the founding of America was a crime, rooted in sin, then the founding principles of America articulated in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution become fraudulent, and if those documents are rendered fraudulent, then there is no bulwark in place to stave off the Marxist takeover of America by the left. Charlie Kirk knew this. He warned us of this. He said, “the emergent enemy in the West is wokism/Marxism combining with Islamism to destroy the American way of life.” And all three of those entities will use everything at their disposal – even the beliefs and principles that God-fearing America loving people hold dear – to accomplish the destruction of America. And that is why Charlie Kirk is dead, and that is why the people on the left, behind their facade of grief, are glad that he is.

I do not watch Kimmel. but obviously know who he is. The news clips I have seen of him are accurately depicted here, and he is at a minimum a disgrace. If our hope is in future generations and their swing back to conservative values, then please get here quickly.
It seems to me that if the network did not fire him, then anything short of that was merely window dressing to dampen down criticism. Nice recap of critical and difficult issues. Thanks.
