Below the Law

Last Thursday, after the conviction of Donald Trump by a far-left wing prosecutor, judge and jury, Joe Biden, or more accurately, a member of his staff who is not suffering from dementia, tweeted on Biden’s official X account, “nobody is above the law”. It is a statement that is not entirely accurate. There are plenty of people in this country who are in fact above the law. This list includes – Dr. Fauci, Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and every elected official who has made millions off insider trading, illegal aliens, everyone on Epstein’s client list, Big Pharma, George Soros, Officer Michael Byrd, Bernardine Dohrn and Bill Ayers, and every congressman who was part of one of the 268 settlements over a 20-year period that used $17 million of taxpayers’ money to pay off their sexual harassment settlements. All of these people are well above the law.

You’re above the law, if you are not tried for a crime that everyone else would be tried and convicted for, but if you are tried and convicted of a crime that no one else would even be tried for, you are below the law. Thursday showed that Donald Trump is clearly below the law, but he is in good company. Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Martin Luther King Jr, and Jesus Christ were also below the law. In Solzhenitsyn book about the horrors of the Soviet Union, The Gulag Archipelago, he writes, “The old proverb does not lie: Look for the brave in prison, and the stupid among the political leaders!” And after Thursday’s verdict, that proverb sums up American politics and this year’s Presidential election – the brave one will be in prison; the stupid one is our current political leader.

The question I have is why is the left so fearful of Donald Trump becoming President again that they are so willing to destroy our judicial system? He was President for four years, and none of the things that they fearmonger about, ever came close to happening. Not one. Actually, Trump ran the country very effectively; the results, domestically and internationally, were very good.

The left will claim that Trump is a threat to democracy because of the riot on January 6. Do we actually believe that hundreds of unarmed middle-aged people rioting at the Capitol was an actual threat to our democracy? If our country could be taken down by that rag tag mob of out-of-shape rioters with hip replacements, then we are in legitimate trouble, we must not have a very strong country. If those people were a legitimate threat to our democracy, then that will embolden every terrorist and every Chinese militant who actually wants to destroy America to come after us.

But January 6 was not unique. The riot at the Capitol was not he first riot ever in Washington, D.C. In fact, there were riots in Washington, DC leading up to and on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration in January 2017. Hillary Clinton was still claiming that the election had been stolen from her, and many other Democrats claimed that Donald Trump was an illegitimate President as the riots were occurring not too far from where they were speaking. Several Democrat congressmen refused to vote to certify the 2016 Presidential election. Were all of those “election deniers” responsible for the riots that occurred in Washington, D.C. in January 2017? Of course not. United States citizens have a right to question the legitimacy of a Presidential election or any election. Hillary Clinton was allowed to question the legitimacy of the 2016 election just as Donald Trump had the right to question the legitimacy of the 2020 election, but neither should be held responsible for a riot that may have broken out as a result of those elections.

There are real threats to our country happening right now that are being ignored. Allowing 10 million illegal foreign nationals into our country in 3 ½ years and encouraging them to vote in our elections is more of a threat to our democracy than anything that happened on January 6. Eliminating voter ID, signature match, ushering in universal mail-in ballots and unsecured drop boxes is more of a threat to our democracy than anything that happened on January 6. Arresting, trying, convicting and imprisoning political opponents is infinitely more of a threat to our democracy than anything that happened on January 6.

However much they talk about it, the left does not care about American democracy. They benefit when American democracy is compromised. They rely on the corruption of American democracy for power. No Democrat in Washington actually wants to protect our democracy because democracy is an impediment to them. Democracy is doing the will of the people and that is what the left fears most about Donald Trump. That’s why they’re going to these extreme lengths to destroy Trump because he will actually try to do the will of the people and not the bidding of the globalist elites. That is what a populous movement is – doing the will of the people. Securing our borders, enforcing our laws, protecting the people from violent crime, sensible monetary policy that benefits the average citizen, a practical energy policy that makes us energy independent, bringing manufacturing jobs back home, putting America first over our foreign adversaries like China. That is what the American people want, that is what Donald Trump proposes to do, and that is what the people on the left fear the most. And that is why they must use any means possible to stop Trump.

Some believe that Trump won’t serve any jail time, others believe that his punishment will be house arrest or even imprisonment through the election in November. The real punishment will be if this conviction causes Joe Biden to become re-elected for four more years which means 10 million more unvetted illegal immigrants, criminal aliens, MS-13 gang members, foreign spies and drug cartel members will walk into our country; the real punishment will be a 65% increase in gas prices, a 22% increase in the price of food and groceries, increase in violent crime, homelessness, drug use and overdose deaths, more foreign wars, the further destabilization of the free world; the real punishment from Trump’s conviction will not be served by Trump, it will be served by every hard-working American citizen who will be forced to live under Joe Biden as President for 4 more years.

When addressing the question, how could the Russian people have allowed the Soviet Union to seize control of the country and commit such atrocities against its people, Solzhenitsyn wrote, “We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.” It is not that Americans don’t love freedom enough, we fail to realize how easily our freedoms can be taken from us. And one of the biggest freedoms we have is the right to self-determination, the right to vote for the person and the government that we want to represent us. By convicting Donald Trump, the left wants to prevent 70-80 million American citizens from voting for the leader that they want, and if we do not realize that is happening, then we have no awareness of our real situation.
