If Mama’s Not Happy…

On Thursday, the Lindsey Clancy trial was declared a mistrial because of a hung jury. 11 of the jurors voted to acquit her, and one male juror refused to go along with it. He held his ground. Lindsey Clancey’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, went on the offensive. He lashed out at the lone juror who refused to buckle to the pressure and acquit her for murdering her three children. Reddington doxxed the man with the hope that a mob of Clancy supporters would intimidate him with threats of violence to such an extent that if there is a second trial, the jurors will understand that if they hold out for a conviction, their lives will be threatened, as well as the lives of their family members. These are the tactics that Lindsey Clancy’s legal team is using. That’s the level of compassion that her side has.
Reddington very angrily said that “one man stole seven weeks of those other jurors’ lives,” like that is the crime of the century. That sums up Lindsey Clancy in a nutshell. Her lawyer is angry that one man stole seven weeks of those people’s lives, but he does not give a damn that his client stole over 200 years of her children’s lives.
Many of her supporters have asked those of us who want her found guilty, to put ourselves in her shoes. I have done that thought experiment, and I concluded that if I, in some sort of psychotic haze, intentionally and methodically murdered three of my children, when I came out of that psychotic haze and realized what I had done, I would have intentionally and methodically killed myself. The grief and the guilt that I would carry with me the rest of my life would be so excruciatingly painful, that I would not want to live anymore. I would either kill myself or I would beg to be executed as quickly as possible. Put me out of my emotional misery now. I don’t know how anybody could live with themselves, could want to live with themselves, knowing that they strangled their three children to death.
I would not be looking for some legal loophole to let me off the hook for killing my own children. That’s not the way I’m built. I would not be able to live with one moment of happiness or joy for the rest of my life. I don’t know how anybody who has a conscience would desire to go on living, knowing that they murdered their own children. So, I asked a question, why does she want to continue to live? She must not have any sort of ability for remorse or guilt. This trial should never have happened because Lindsey Clancy should be dead right now.
Her supporters point out that she did try to kill herself that day by jumping out of a window. It seems interesting that she tried to kill four people that day, and she succeeded in killing three with unbelievable precision and efficiency, but didn’t show the same level of aptitude or proficiency to take life when she was supposed to be trying to kill herself. She found it a lot easier to kill her kids than she did to kill herself.
If you have any sort of heart or soul or conscience or empathy or compassion, there is no recovery from murdering your own three children. None. She should not want to live any longer, but the fact that she does want to continue to live, the fact that she wants to escape punishment for her deed leads me to believe that she didn’t do it in a psychotic episode, rather this was a well-planned murder of her own children. Only a monster would be trying to manipulate the legal system to get out of her rightful punishment for such a horrific act.
I would have honored my children by taking my own life. Going for an acquittal is dishonoring the lives of her children. If she had a conscience, her conscience would convict her every second of every day for the rest of her life and the fact that she’s going for an acquittal means that she does not have a conscience and she does not want to honor her children. Her trying to get off without punishment, is all the evidence I need to determine that this was not a psychotic episode, but an intentional murder.
Beyond that, if your brain is so malfunctioning to the point that it is capable of committing such horrific acts against the innocent, if you had any sort of care or empathy or concern for other people in the world, you wouldn’t want to be put out among the rest of society for fear that your brain may malfunction again and take more innocent life. But she does not care. She is doing now what she was doing when she killed her three children – she’s putting herself first; she’s putting her happiness first; she doesn’t care about other people; she only cares about herself.
Regardless of what her mental state was or what her motive was, she showed the world what she’s capable of doing – the methodical murder of three children. She’s not a victim. She is not someone who deserves any level of compassion. I do not know how anyone is capable of compartmentalizing these ghastly acts by attempting to let themselves off the hook. This trial tells us everything we need to know about her. It exposed her pure narcissism. It is all about her. Her three kids are forgotten. That’s the saddest part. It’s all about her being a victim and not about the children. That is another reason why she should have rejected a trial because it completely diminished the children and put her at the forefront, but that mindset was the motivation for her killing the children to begin with. It was all about her and her happiness and nothing about the children. And that’s the sickness that is taking over our country in our society.
The truest sign that Lindsey Clancy did not love her children at all is the fact that after killing them, she wants absolutely no consequences for her actions. She wants to be allowed to walk free. That shows a sign of someone who has absolutely no conscience, and is most likely a sociopath. If she really had any remorse, she would not be alive right now. But she is a person without a conscience. She is the living embodiment of the modern-day expression, “if mama’s not happy, nobody’s happy.” She took that warped thinking to the absolute extreme. Lindsey Clancy was not happy, so she was not going to allow anyone else around her to be happy, not her husband, not her parents, not her in-laws, and definitely not her children.
