Over the last 9 days, Elon Musk has released to journalists Matt Taibbi and Bari Weiss, the internal Twitter communications which disclose the process of how Twitter has censored and shadow-banned conservatives for the last 5 to 6 years. The documents revealed that teams of Twitter employees built blacklists to prevent disfavored tweets, primarily from conservatives, from trending in order to limit their visibility across the platform. All of this was done in secret, without informing the users or their followers. Conservative media voices such as Charlie Kirk and Dan Bongino were regularly blacklisted by these Twitter teams. The newly released documents showed how Twitter executives looked for any and every excuse to ban President Trump. They were so determined to throw Trump off their platform that they twisted their rules and created new ones governing content to achieve that end.
It is not surprising that extreme ideologues would exploit this type of power to silence the voices of their opponents. It makes sense. It is something that most people on the right had already suspected was going on. The most interesting and sinister revelation is that the leftists at Twitter suspended an account called “Libs of TikTok” even though it had not violated any of Twitter rules. Libs of TikTok was an account that simply compiled posts of liberal teachers in America videoing themselves on TikTok, promoting and espousing the left-wing gender ideology that they teach to their classes. The account merely showed liberal teachers in their own words telling the world what they teach to children. And the executives at Twitter suspended the account because they know that the positions that they support are so indefensible that they did not want the rest of the country to actually see what is being indoctrinated into America’s school children.
Libs of TikTok merely put on display the radical gender and sexual ideology that the left ascribes to. So, by banning that account, the leftists at Twitter were acknowledging that their own beliefs – the beliefs they want to indoctrinate into our children – are so vile, so reprehensible, so indefensible, that they must be taken off of their platform so no one can see them. They were not celebrating their beliefs trending across their platform; they were hiding their beliefs. How can you hold a belief if you are too afraid or two embarrassed or two humiliated to want them spread to the greater population? This is how sinister these people are. They do not want anybody to know what they are actually doing to our children. They want it all to be done behind closed doors.
It’s one thing to censor opposition beliefs because you think they are wrong, but to censor the very beliefs that you want indoctrinated into our youth because you know how reprehensible they are, is absolutely sinister. The left relies on their extreme ideologies being disseminated in grade school, high school, and college classrooms where their indoctrination can occur virtually unnoticed. They know that if the rest of America actually saw and heard their extreme beliefs, they would be overwhelmingly rejected. That is why it must be done in secret, and it must be censored on social media. If you actually believe that your beliefs are the right and good, then you would want your beliefs amplified. Conservatives want their beliefs to trend on social media, so as many people as possible see them. But the left does not want their beliefs amplified because they know their beliefs are indefensible, they’re bad for our country, bad for the world, bad for everyone.
The most infuriating part of all this is that we have been continually told that certain people and certain opinions, i.e., conservatives, had to be blocked on social media because they were “dangerous”, but while Twitter executives were censoring conservative voices and suspending the account of Libs of TikTok, they completely ignored the widespread the child pornography and child exploitation that was prevalent on their platform for years. There was absolutely no concern about the safety of children when it came to how they moderated the content on their platform. How many children’s abuse and exploitation was facilitated on Twitter while the content moderation executives who were banning conservatives did nothing about it? Public safety was solely the guise they used to push their left-wing ideology and silence their opposition because it is clear they made little attempt to protect children from abusers.
These are vile people who disguise their vileness in a false self-ascribed virtue and attempt to shame anybody who does not ascribe to their vile ideologies. History has shown, and these Twitter revelations prove that people who promote censorship, use it to censor the truth, to promote lies and propaganda, and are the ones who are the most dangerous to the people and the country.
